CRIST URGES PINELLAS RESIDENTS TO GET COVERED DURING OPEN ENROLLMENT
Congressman Charlie Crist (D-St. Petersburg) released the following statement reminding Pinellas residents that the 2018 open enrollment season for Healthcare.gov coverage starts on November 1st. Unlike the previous four enrollment periods that were three months long, the current Administration has reduced the enrollment period to just six weeks. Enrollment ends on December 15th, so it's critical that consumers have the information they need to understand their options now.
"A reminder for my neighbors in Pinellas County: Open Enrollment season is upon us — if you purchase your own health insurance through the marketplace, this is the time when you can buy or change your health insurance plan for 2018. Open Enrollment begins November 1st and it ends December the 15th," said Crist. "To get covered, visit Healthcare.gov. This is your chance to make changes that work best for you and your family. You can find plans with no-cost preventive care — like flu shots and mammograms — and most folks qualify for assistance with paying your premium. November 1st is fast-approaching and then the enrollment period is only six weeks, so be sure to visit Healthcare.gov now for more information. Get covered, Pinellas!"
