Congressman Charlie Crist (D-St. Petersburg) released the following statement regarding President Trump’s decision to end cost-sharing reduction payments, undermining the Affordable Care Act and Americans’ access to affordable, quality health care coverage:

“The extremely harmful decision to end legally required payments under the Affordable Care Act will raise costs on the American people, further destabilize the health insurance market, and increase the deficit. Breaking a promise to make insurance less expensive will cause serious pain for working families, all just to score political points at the expense of the people. Enough is enough with partisan games with Americans' health care. Congress must take immediate action – bipartisan action – to protect consumers, stabilize the market, and drive down costs.”
