Crist Votes to Fund Israel’s Iron Dome

Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Charlie Crist released this statement following House passage of the Iron Dome Supplemental Appropriations Act, legislation to make an additional $1 billion available through September 2024 for Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system to counter terrorist attacks. This funding is needed to replenish the Iron Dome defense system following the over 4,400 rockets launched towards Israeli civilians by the terrorist group Hamas in May this year.

“Iron Dome is a critical defensive tool protecting our ally Israel and its citizens from terrorist attacks. As a Member of the Appropriations Committee who has successfully helped secure billions for Iron Dome and other defensive capabilities, I know that Israel’s security also helps keep Floridians safe,” said Rep, Crist. “For the security of my constituents and the safety of the people of Israel, I was proud to vote to replenish Israel’s Iron Dome, which successfully intercepted over 90% of the rockets launched in the May terror attack on Israeli civilians. America will always be there for our ally and friend.”
